garden playground in a big bowl

Sometimes it's fun to take a picture and look what you've done somewhat removed from the piece.  It looks different, the space becomes flatter, and the experience of looking at the design of what you have done takes on another dimension.  I could probably add something, but I think I'm going to stop here and call it done.

Day 2

Image
Sometimes it feels like one step forward and two steps back. I think I'm liking this last one I did the best, but maybe that's because the light was diminished, so somehow the image came more clearly to me.

Trying to remember how I work

When it's been a while since I've done something familiar, I have to figure it out all over again.  It starts out slow.   Let's see what tomorrow brings....

Words

So much email, I am missing writing and receiving a really good letter.  The anticipation of what might be inside, and waiting for the right moment to read it.   And I really do promise to write back.....

Lingering

The artist is Lauren Ari.     She does ceramics too! Unrelated, but then again, possibly related to the above image, was my dream just before waking this morning. I am grateful for a dream life that sometimes is an intermingling of art and life, and that leaves me off for the day full of wonder,  confusion and imagery to play with as I'm working.  And  like a dream, it was over way too soon, the dialog still circling round in my head. I saw an old friend in my dream and we talked like we hadn't in years.  It was so beautiful.

Last Year in Paris

A hidden room with secret messages.   An old typewriter. A new friend and an old friend.  Walking in the dark.  It was a good day.
