This is a wild lily in the woods behind my house. Usually the deer come and eat the buds, even when I try to protect them.  Somehow, this year, one made it!  I had been checking for days, and finally today she opened her beautiful face.

Last year deer ate my day lilies, hosta you name it. This year we have Winter pup!

What? You got a dog? I think my dog is helping actually, and the only reason there was even one wild lily to see :)
