Garden developments!!

Luckily I photographed these before the big rain yesterday

knocked over all of my sunflowers

especially the tall lovely dark ones

incredibly beautiful calendula

bronze fennel

flox

before the massacre

greens galore!

I need to do something with these before they get much longer.... any ideas?

the long view

a mystery plant I grew from some seeds I stole somewhere.... some sort of black eyed susan, but long stemmed, and quite tall.

That's a shame but so good that you took a pic before they were destroyed. I suppose nature would have taken its toll eventually anyway :( The darker one is unusual, I've never seen one like that before. Your garden is beautiful!xx

Mother Nature will have her way! Those are some great sunflowers. The bottom two photos look like Jerusalem Artichokes.
There have been torrential rains everywhere, except out west where it is sorely needed.

Oh, I'm so happy to see your garden! I love egg plant. I love to slice, batter it and fry it. Also, my aunt makes a super delicious asian recipe with it & asian sausage. Sort of a egg plant stir fry with the spicy sausage. Simple and easy.

The upside of my sunflower graveyard is that I have lots of flowers in the house now, and hopefully the buds will slowly open and they will bring enjoyment, however fleeting..:)
I will try it that recipe thank Melissa!!
