My father is an international potter too!  Here is an example of one of his cups that is now living in Kathmandu!!.... he has been making pots ever since
I started taking pottery classes in college.  I'd say we've both been at it about the same amount of time....His claim to fame is that he has given all of his pottery away to friends and family and anyone who liked it for free!
